Clouded leopard cub throwback from over the years for #InternationalLeopardDay 🐾 Clouded leopards are a special part of our Zoo. We’re part of the Species Survival Plan that keeps zoo populations healthy to support animals in the wild, and we collaborate with other zoos in the U.S. and Thailand to breed and research this elusive, tree-top-loving cat.

Several of our tufted puffins are now sporting their spring and summer plumage! 🧡During this season, their beaks and webbed feet become a more vibrant orange, their gray faces transform into more shades of white, and their tufts grow back for the breeding season.

Happy 8th birthday, Hudson! 🎉 Hudson came to Point Defiance Zoo as a young calf in August 2016 and is now the father of Trebek (who lives in Alaska) and Willow. 💕

Meet the new kids at the Zoo! 🐐 Seven adorable baby goats, named Kettle, Biscuit, Hopper, Crumpet, Daisy Mae, Rhubarb, and Thistle, are just 7 weeks old and full of energy. The growing kids are being bottle-fed twice a day and closely monitored until they grow big enough to mingle with our current goat herd.
